Ongoing Projects:
1.    Novel Coronavirus, Major Population Events and Well-being: A Longitudinal Study

  • Aim to understand the interaction between stressors, mental health status, reactions to the pandemic and public health measures of Hong Kong Citizens under the pandemic

  • Conducted by telephone interview, for person aged 18 or above

 

2.    Youth Mental Health Study

  • Aim to understand the mental health status of teenager and the stressors

  • Conducted by telephone interview, for person aged 18 to 35

 

3.    iMAP Hong Kong Study

  • Aim to understand how the characteristics of Hong Kong citizens' living places, such as neighboring areas and other visited frequently places, affect their lifestyle, brain health, memory and executive functioning in middle and late stages

  • Firstly select eligible participants via telephone screening, and then invite for two visits to the University of Hong Kong, and conduct daily activity monitoring during the period. About one-third of participants were also invited to participate in MRI brain scans

4.    Neuroscience and Mental Health: Resilience and Emotional Regulation Study

  • Aim to understand the biomarkers of resilience and emotional regulation

  • Conducted by behavioral testing and survey

  • For healthy person aged 18 to 50

  • Aim to understand the benefits of country parks, urban parks and gym room usage and their physical, mental, and social well-being

  • Conducted by face-to-face interview

  • Welcome people aged 18 or above to participate

 

2.    Child and Youth Mental Health Study

  • Aim to understand the mental health status and stressors of children, adolescents and their parents or guardians.

  • Conducted by face-to-face interview

  • Welcome children and adolescents aged 10 to 15 and their parents or guardians to participate
